The Ion PI™ Template OT2 200 Kit v3 contains template preparation reagents for automated and reproducible template preparation using the Ion OneTouch™ 2 System for Ion Proton™ System semiconductor sequencing. As an integral component of the Ion Proton™ semiconductor sequencing workflow, the Ion PI™ Template OT2 200 Kit v3 is designed to make high-quality templated Ion PI™ Ion Sphere™ particles using the Ion OneTouch™ 2 System to streamline the overall Ion sequencing workflow, yield significant time savings, increase productivity, and accelerate scientific discovery.

The Ion PI™ Template OT2 200 Kit v3 provides you with:

• Support of 200 base read libraries for a variety of applications, including exome and whole transcriptome sequencing
• Simple and modular template preparation for increased productivity

Rapid and Comprehensive Genomic Profiling
The Ion Proton™ workflow, along with Ion AmpliSeq™ Exome technology and Ion Reporter™ Software, enables comprehensive exome sequencing on your benchtop. Delivering up to 80 million reads in a single run, the Ion Proton™ System, coupled with Ambion® RNA kits and Partek® Flow® Software, provides transcriptome sequencing on demand.

Modular Sample Processing
At the heart of the Ion OneTouch™ 2 Instrument are three breakthrough technologies that enable automated delivery of template Ion PI™ Ion Sphere™ particles. The first is the reaction filter that creates millions of microreactors in which clonal amplification occurs. The second is a fully integrated thermal cycler and disposable path amplification plate system, enabling robust thermal cycling of the microreactors. The third is the integrated centrifuge, which recovers the templated Ion PI™ Ion Sphere™ particles. Combined, these first-in-class technologies deliver massively parallel clonal amplification and recovery with walk-away operation—all in a small benchtop footprint.

The Ion OneTouch™ ES module employs proven magnetic bead technology to isolate template-positive Ion Sphere™ particles that can be loaded directly onto the Ion semiconductor chip—delivering automated, highly reproducible enrichment with every run. The modular nature of the Ion sequencing workflow allows processing of up to 2 samples per day.

Increased Productivity and Lower Costs
The Ion OneTouch™ 2 System and associated reagent kits, such as the Ion PI™ Template OT2 200 Kit v3, support the Ion PI™ chips, for sequence throughputs of 10 Gb or greater. The modular nature of the system facilitates QC testing of your sample to assess Ion Sphere™ template positivity and yield pre- and post-enrichment for greater peace of mind regarding the likelihood of sequencing success with your sample. The system also drastically reduces time and cost by supporting template preparation of multiplexed libraries for DNA-based or RNA-based applications.

The Ion PI™ Template OT2 200 Kit v3 contains template preparation reagents for sequencing 8 samples using the Ion OneTouch™ 2 System. The kit components include proprietary Ion PI™ Ion Sphere™ particles, buffers, PCR reagent and enzyme mixes, consumables, and primers.
