Application

The array can be used for comparing protein expression profiles between two samples (test vs. reference samples). Each sample is labeled with a different dye (such as Cy3 or Cy5) and the 2 samples are applied simultaneously on the array, The expression profile of each sample is recorded individually and compared.

General description

The Panorama Antibody Microarray - Neurobiology is a proteomics tool to measure the relative level of protein expression in cell or tissue extracts. The array contains 224 different antibodies on nitrocellulose coated glass slides. These antibodies represent targets to highly studied neurodegenerative diseases, such as Alzheimer′s, Huntington′s, and Parkinson′s. Also represented on the array are targets involved in neuron development.
