MEM（最低必需培养基），含Earle's盐，最初由Harry Eagle开发，此后经过多种改良（如α改良型）以适应众多细胞培养应用。它用于培养多种悬浮和贴壁细胞，包括HeLa、BHK-21、HEK 293、HEP-2、HT-1080、MCF-7、成纤维细胞和原代大鼠星形胶质细胞。
本配方的含Earle's盐MEM添加了稳定型谷氨酰胺。稳定型谷氨酰胺（也称为L-丙氨酰-L-谷氨酰胺）是L-谷氨酰胺的直接替代品，且稳定性更高。

Description
MEM (Minimum Essential Medium) with Earle's Salts was originally developed by Harry Eagle and from there modified in several ways (e.g. alpha modification) to suit many cell culture applications. It is used for cultivation of numerous suspension and adherent cells, including HeLa, BHK-21, HEK 293, HEP-2, HT-1080, MCF-7, fibroblasts, and primary rat astrocytes.
This modification of MEM with Earle's Salts is supplemented with Stable Glutamine. Stable glutamine (also known as L-Alanyl-L-Glutamine) is a direct substitute for L-glutamine and has an increased stability.
