Together, they support robust suspension adaptation, stable growth kinetics with viabilities above 90%, and high productivity from early process development to large-scale bioreactor production.
HEKstar 293 is a chemically defined, protein-free and animal component-free medium optimized for stable batch and fed-batch expression processes. Due to its broad formulation, the system is also suitable for pilot-scale transient transfection workflows where moderate expression levels are sufficient.
