McCoy's 5A Medium supports the growth of primary cells, established cell lines, and explants. It is also used for production of virus in primary cell cultures.

Description
McCoy’s 5A Medium was formulated to support liver tumor cells by modification of the amino acids found in Basal Medium Eagle. The enriched formulation is suitable for a variety of established cell lines as well as primary cells.

This formulation of McCoy's medium is supplemented with L-Glutamine.
